The study outlines the links that broaden the possibilities of didactization in context, by conceptualizing the selected themes of Ján Kalinčiak’s novel The Prince of Liptov with the help of the archival documents about John Corvinus. It focuses on the 19th-century literary text comparing it to the original preserved historical documents from 15th-century Italy from the point of view of literary history and history of intercultural relations. The practical development of the skills of analysis and synthesis for future teachers through an information-based activity aimed to deepen the students’ knowledge of a prominent author by expanding the perspective of the contextualization of his work and narrative by proper research, beyond the limits of the state of art in the field.
